District Prayer
God of new beginnings, we thank you for the dreams and visions which have led to the creation of our new District; we thank you and for the great diversity of people and the rich variety of gifts which you have blessed us:
May the grace of your Son inspire us; the wisdom of your Spirit teach us; and the strength of your presence sustain us, as we seek to do your will in our local communities and across this City. We ask this for your glory's sake. Amen

Relaunch Methodist Church Website - Is open to all
Open to God Open to Life Open to the World Open to You
The new Methodist Church website is making it easier for visitors to find everything they want to know about the Church and its mission by simply clicking on any of the above headings on the homepage, to find an easily-navigable overview of content.
There is also a section - 'Church Life' - designed to give easy access to all the forms, reports and information that Methodists need for their church lives.
The search facility has been improved, and there are new sections on exploring Christianity, discovering what Methodism is all about, what makes it distinctive and how to get involved.
The new site doesn't just offer information, it encourages readers to participate by joining debates, prayer forums, undertaking a meditative journey by following an online labyrinth, or by sharing their own stories.
As webeditor Dave Webster says "We want the site to be as useful as possible to Methodists, and also say something very positive about the values of Methodism. The site will continue to develop, and I'm keen to hear people's views on how it's working for them."
