I lift up my eyes to the hills- Where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip - He who watches over you will not slumber; Indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD watches over you The LORD is your shade at your right hand; The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD will keep you from all harm - He will watch over your life; The LORD will watch over your coming and going Both now and forevermore.

| Dear Park Lane Friends,
Again I want to express our thanks to you for your hospitality during our stay with you Summer 2007. You are no longer strangers, but friends to us. We, and your gifts to us, arrived home safely. It took us nearly a week to adjust to the time zone changes, but we are now back into our old routines. Rebekah started back to school, Amy is back working at the library, and I am busy beginning our fall schedule of activities here at Bethany. |

Pastor Bob sure made a deep impression here. Bethany really enjoyed him, Christine and the girls. I don't go two days without hearing some story about them! In fact, my first Sunday back, Bob coached the congregation to stand when I entered the sanctuary - and they did! I was waiting for my tea and biscuits, but no one brought any to me.
I have been able to do a two part program for Bethany church describing our experience with you folks. I include lots of photos and talk extensively about the churches of the Wembley Circuit. They have been well received. I have even been invited to do a short presentation to our area ministers about the experience. So, a lot of people here will see photos of many of you!
We had a trip and experience of a lifetime with you. We have so many cherished memories. Our time with you affected us all in so many positive ways. Amy and I drink more tea now (always put in the milk first) and we do watch BBC world news each evening. I have watched a few recorded football matches from England televised here on Friday nights. But seriously, you folks are better world citizens than we are here in the U.S. We need to work on that, and it is part of my message in my presentations.
God bless,
Jim Vanzandt
